He was predeceased by: his siblings, Tamar Oppenheimer and Berry Shenton. He is survived by: his wife Ruth; his children, Adam Shine (Brigitte Roy) and Marghanita Shine (Manita); and his grandchildren, Zachary, Abigail, Gabrielle, Lucca and Zoe.

A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 1:00 PM. A shiva was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM and on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
