He was predeceased by: his parents, Hector Godin and Althia Whalen (Cécile Larivière). He is survived by: his children, Vivianne (Conrad Martineau), Sylvie (Bruce Mayer) and Michel; his grandchildren, Mathieu (Geneviève), David (Sophie), Alexis and Yan; his great grandchildren, Jacob, Xavier, Maude and Loïc; and his siblings, Evelyn (Paul Beaudoin), Linda (late Jocelyn Hubert) and Russell (Joanne Larivière). He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins and friends.
