Johanna Slater Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Johanna Slater (Lorraine, Québec), who passed away on September 11, 2020 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Karel VanBourgondien and Lia VanBourgondien; her stepmother Ellenor; her father-in-law Wallace Reid; and her uncle Kees VanBourgondien.

She is survived by: her husband Thomas; her sons, Trevor Slater (Lyn) and Phil Slater; her grandchildren, Darian, Kelley, McKenna and Avery; her siblings, Wilhelm VanBourgondien (Mauria), Phieps VanBourgondien (Jennifer) and Alice Uher; her mother-in-law Lorraine Reid; and her siblings-in-law, Cheryl Halbert and Glen Slater (Jill). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and countless.

Due to Covid, the family will be gathering privately on Monday September 21, 2020 at 1:00pm. to celebrate Joke's Life.

In lieu of flowers, the Slater family would kindly accept donations made to Cystic Fibrosis research.
