He was predeceased by: his parents, A. G. Parker and Blanche Sendell; and his wife Peggy Long. He is survived by: his daughters, June (Michel), Barbara, Gail (Ed) and Debbie (Dino); and his grandchildren, Bailey and Francis.

“I am so sorry to hear that Walter has left this mortal coil. He was well loved and respected at our church, Holy Trinity, in Ste. Agathe. We would always give one another a big hug and he would say, looking around...' Is your husband looking!!! ...and we would have a good laugh as both of them were great buds!
