She was predeceased by: her husband Earl Austin Thompson; her son Tommy Ian; her granddaughter Shelby-Lee; and her siblings, Joseph, René, Gérald and Freda.

She is survived by: her children, Gail (Dino), Joan (David), Austin, Colleen (John) and Scott (Carole); and her siblings, Jocelyne, Jeannette, Maurice and Léonard. She is also survived by her nephews and nieces, and many friends.
