He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Murphy and Catherine Ouimet; and his siblings, Phyllis (late Raymond Legare), Leo (Gloria Fetchchcock) and Terrance.

He is survived by: his girlfriend Micheline; his sons, Daniel (Helene) and Michael (Guyllaine); his grandchildren, Mya, Brendon, Merissa and Makayla; and his siblings, Maureen (late Leon Quenneville), Mary Clayton (Harold), Lewis (Cindy Wilson) and Kevin (Nancy Scott). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
