He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucien Viau and Rolande Thibault; and his sisters, Élaine Boisclair and Suzanne Viau. He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his children, Jacques (Graeme) and Danielle (Carl); and his sister Louise. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, and other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests any donations can be made to his favourite charities, including la Fondation Hôpital Charles-LeMoyne, la Fondation Papillon, or the CNIB (Canadian National Institute for the Blind).
