He was predeceased by: his daughter-in-law Jennifer; his parents, Amable Asselin and Agnès Chicoine; and his siblings, Alcide, Leon, Leona and Evelyne.

He is survived by: his wife Eunice (Cotton); his children, Carole (Perry), Barry (Holly) and Brian; his grandchildren, Michael, Chris, Megan, Daniel, Kristin, Tyler, Jessica, Brandon, Katy and Matthew; his great grandchild Jaxson; and his siblings, Annette (Guy), Elie (Rose), Camille (Celina), Alfred (Rolland) and Maurice (Monette). He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
