She was predeceased by: her spouse Colonel "Ken" Laplante; and her sister Storme. She is survived by: her children, Donna (Bob Bradford), Carol Ann (Mike Leonardo), Alanna (Sam Baird), Douglas (Cindy Johnston), Nada (Andre Noel) and Krista (Carey Gaul); her grandchildren, Christina, Melissa, Lee, Sonya, Michel, Tim, Maggie, Kyle, Kaylea, Natacha, Elizabeth, Samantha and Joshua; and her siblings, Michael and Rosemarie. She is also survived by her 16 great-grandchildren.
