She was predeceased by: her parent Gary Babin; and her son Owen. She is survived by: her parent Doris Gallant; her husband Timothy Lapointe of Black Point; her children, Shylah, Heather and Angie; and her siblings, René Babin (Brigitte) of Dieppe and Chantal Babin (Gordon Harquail) of Dalhousie. She is also survived by niece, a nephew, cousins, aunts and uncles.
