It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edith Eleanor (Morin) Fortchimo of Chisasibi, Québec, born in Haileybury, Ontario, who passed away on March 3, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Sidney Fortchimo; and her parents, René Morin (Ben) and Edna Morin. She is survived by: her brothers, Kenneth (Carol), Allan (late Jacinta) and Robert; her sons, Mario (Virginia) and David; her sisters, Sarah (Ron Williams), Nancy (late Ron Milne), Mary (Bruce McNeely) and Lois (Paul Nolan); and her sister-in-law Carol Morin. She is also survived by several grandchildren, a great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers a non perishable food donation to Gentle Shepherd Church in Edith's memory would be greatly appreciated. Donations are distributed to local food banks and meal programs for those in need.
