He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward "Ted" and Jean Van Bridger; his wife Janet Ballard; and his sister Beverley Van Bridger. He is survived by: his children, Shannon Van Bridger (Mark Carkner) of Mountain and Gregory (Sharon) of Morrisburg; his grandchildren, Brittany Carkner and Sarah Carkner; and his siblings, John (Marilynn) of New Hamburg, Karen McNicol (Don) of Kingston and Mary Meerakker (Willy) of Oak Valley.
