He was predeceased by: his wife Evelyn Cowell (Lynn); and his son-in-law Sébastien Poitras. He is survived by: his children, Jane (Richard Kechayan) of Pierrefonds, Michael (Corona Lee) of Hong Kong and Andrew (Heidi Straessle) of Georgeville; and his grandchildren, Stéphanie, Gabrielle (Chris Hall), Amélie Poitras (David Mamrowicz), Angus (Marley Jenkins), Harriet and Kate Cowell.
