It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Myra Mary Gillis (Tyne Valley, Prince Edward Island), who passed away on August 29, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Laughlin Murphy and Ida Claire Murphy (Bulger); and her siblings, Gerard, Norbert, Cyril, Linus, Thomas, Alban, Lorne and Kathleen.
She is survived by: her children, Carolyn Gillis (Eric MacLean) of Elmsdale, NS, Lisa Cousins, Arlington, Nancy Gillis (Julian Langford) of Olympia, WA, Sandra Gillis of Niagara Falls, ON, Tammy Gillis of Cambridge, MA and Amy Gillis of St Catharines, ON.; her grandchildren, Bryce Ferguson of Petawawa, ON, Noéll, Kathleen Cousins, Arlington, Elisa and Regan Wier of Niagara Falls, ON.; her brother David (Maureen); her siblings-in-law, Mary MacKay (Neil), Betty Walsh (Leo), Hope River, Linda McClintick, Kay Shaw, Hazelbrook and Marion Gillis; and the father of her children Angus "Bud" Gillis.
