He was predeceased by: his wife Doris Buchanan (MacLellan); his parents, Daniel Buchanan and Ruth Buchanan (Horne); his siblings, Jenny Cave, Gladys Kerslake and Malcolm; and his siblings-in-law, Lois Ann MacAusland, John Cave and Alvin Kerslake.
He is survived by: his children, Janet Adams (Brian), Virginia Gray, Elmer (Jill Jenks), Gordon (Bernadette), Mary Getson (Dana) and Donald (Bella); his siblings, Myrna Ellis and George; his siblings-in-law, Aleta Buchanan (Harris), Hazel Buchanan (Harris) and Aubrey Ellis; and his niece Sara Murray. He is also survived by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
