It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Pauline Smith (Summerside, Prince Edward Island), who passed away on February 5, 2021, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Gamble and Mable Gamble (Bishop); her child Jackie; her brother Cecil Gamble; and her siblings-in-law, Charlie Hope, Robert Smith, Cecil Smith (Ella), James Smith (Audrey), Sadie Frizzell (Roy), Bertha Frizzell (Ivan) and Dorothy Smith.
She is survived by: her spouse Brenton Smith; her children, Pauline Dekker (Doug), Sam Smith (Maryann) and Charlene Smith (Lionel Chaisson); her grandson Alex Rogers; her great grandchild Kenley Rogers; her siblings, Edna Swing (Frank), Judy Sager (Jerry), Beatrice Gamble (Dave Shelly), Pearl MacDonald (John) and Carl Gamble (Darlene); and her sister-in-law Helen LeClair. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid 19 restrictions, no public visitation will be held.
