He was predeceased by: his siblings, Frank, Harry, Audrey and Stella Adams; and his siblings-in-law, Peter Arsenault and Elsie Curran.

He is survived by: his spouse Sheila Curran; his children, Derek Curran and Kris Curran; his siblings, Roy, Wally (Shirley), Dave (Norma), Mary Alice Gallant (Louis) and Glenn Arsenault; and his siblings-in-law, John Adams, Mary Curran and Lorrie Jess. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Interment to take place in St. Philippe and St. Jacques Cemetery, Egmont-Bay, P.E.I. Memorial donations in Russell's memory to East Prince Palliative Home Care would be greatly appreciated.
