He was predeceased by: his parent Wilfred MacWilliam; his siblings, Roy and Anne Phillips; his son-in-law Stuart Morley; and his brothers-in-law, Erland Phillips and Walter MacKie.

He is survived by: his spouse Evelyn MacWilliam (Cook); his parent Lilla MacWilliam (MacNeil); his children, Gordon (Cindy), Halifax, Leonard (Beverley), Winnipeg, Dianne Meunier (Rick) of Moncton, Judy Thompson (Ross) of Summerside and Lisa Stewart (Jerry); his grandchildren, Duncan MacWilliam, Kelly MacWilliam, Stuart Morley, Michael Thompson, Jessica Stewart and Robert Stewart; his siblings, Jean MacKie and Ross MacWilliam (Connie); and his siblings-in-law, Kathleen MacWilliam, Leonard Cook, Phyllis Easter (Cooke) and Miriam Cooke.
