He was predeceased by: his spouse Myrtle Waddell; his parents, Wilbur Waddell and Jean Waddell; his daughters, Jean Walsh and Joan Rogers; his granddaughter Katelyn Rogers; and his brother Wyman Waddell.

He is survived by: his children, Carol Waddell and Barbara Postma (Martin); his close friend Bertie Thompson; his son-in-law Donnie Rogers; his grandchildren, Gordie Walsh (Lorna), Ann Marie Pickering (Wayne), Kyle Rogers (Cathy), Michael Rogers, Samantha Dougay, Spencer Dougay, Bradley Postma and Melissa Postma; his great grandchildren, Jeanna Lee, Will Gordon Pickering and Victoria Mae Joan Rogers; and his siblings-in-law, Lloyd Waddell (Doreen) and Mary Waddell.
