He was predeceased by: his spouse Dorothy "Jean" Gallant R. N.; his brothers, Joe Myers, Carl Gallant, Robert "Bobby" Gallant and Francis "Pinky" Gallant; and his brothers-in-law, Edward Doucette and Joe Perry.

He is survived by: his children, Karen Wessel (Tony) of Winnipeg, Stephen (Erma) of Summerside, Douglas (Tara) of Summerside, Andrew (Michele) of Cornwall and Cheryl of Summerside; his sisters, Audrey Doucette, Alice Gallant (Joe T.), Sadie Perry, Shirley Riley (Lewis), Dora Deschamp (John), Doreen Gallant (Clayton) and Judy Bernard (Gail); and his sisters-in-law, Alice Vautour and Theresa Gallant. He is also survived by 9 grandsons and 4 granddaughters, 8 great-children and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations in Leonard's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.
