He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Schurman and Elizabeth Schurman (Fenton); his daughter Jana Deacon; his sister-in-law Joanne (Schurman); and his brothers, David and Gerald Schurman.
He is survived by: his children, Daniel "Dan" (Judith Sherwood), Elizabeth "Betsy" (Duke), Cormier and David "Jake" (Tracy); the mother of his children Judith; his sister Cheryl Patriquin (Lyall); his sister-in-law Marion Schurman; and his half-brothers, Wyatt and Paul Jr.. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
