He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbridge and Mary; and his siblings-in-law, Alvin Thomson, Bert Thomson, Leigh Thomson and Bethany MacKay.

He is survived by: his spouse Bethany (Doyle); his children, Mark and Emma (Cody MacKay); his siblings, Marion Thomson, Thane (Ruth), Warren (Barbara), Carol Thomson, John, Donna Thomson, Barbara Eagle (Fred) and Rosalie Webb (Trevor); his parents-in-law, Donnie Doyle and Kitty Doyle; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Doyle, Theresa Buntain (John), Maureen O'Meara (Chris) and Leah Doyle.
