It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clarence W. Oates of Summerside, Prince Edward Island, who passed away on October 6, 2024, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his sister Yvonne (late Richard); his sister-in-law Faye Schurman Darrach; and his parents-in-law, Donald and Martha Schurman. He is survived by: his wife Judy Oates (Schurman); his daughters, Trudy MacIsaac (Mike) and Leona Oates (Mike Lozo); his grandchildren, Mason and MacIsaac; his siblings, Marina Harris (late Herman), Genevieve Hiscock (Baden), Beulah Newell (late Ray), Maxwell (Christine), Hubert (Beverly), Sandra Mercer (Randell), Ruth Oates (late Wayne), Eric (Marilyn), Barry (Elizabeth), Terry and Craig Oates-Brookings (Bruce); his sister-in-law Myra MacLean (Bill); and his nieces and nephews, Tammy MacLean (Nelson Cornell), Shawn MacDonald and Michelle (late Trevor MacLean).
