He is survived by: his wife Christine Coughlin; his children, Terri MacArthur (Blair) and Shelly Coughlin; his grandchildren, Tristyn Coughlin (Jane), Brianna MacArthur and Matthew MacArthur; his great grandchildren, Colt, Bella and Serenity; his siblings, Joan Emery (Allan), Gayle Whitmore (Tom) and Blair Coughlin (Sharon); and his sister-in-law Elaine Coughlin of Dartmouth, N. S..

Visitation was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
