He was predeceased by: his parents, William McKinnon and Catherine McKinnon (MacDonald); his wife Agnes McKinnon (Boylan); and his siblings, Mary McKinnon, Eva MacIsaac, Roy and Arthur.
He is survived by: his brother Peter Leonard McKinnon (Joan) of Michigan, USA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
