It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Norman Best Thompson of Stratford, Prince Edward Island, who passed away on October 26, 2024, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Thompson and Lena Thompson; his siblings, Grace MacCallum (Avalah), Max (Doris), Ella Chappell (Clifford), Olive Darrach (George), Albert (Evelyn), Edmund (Elva) and Stanley (Norma); and his brothers-in-law, George Bernard and Andre Hurtubise.
He is survived by: his spouse Ireta (Stevenson); his children, Deborah Hood (Ricky) and Douglas Thompson (Darlene); and his siblings-in-law, Rev. Gordon Stevenson (Helen), Joan Bernard and Catherine Hurtubise (Reid). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity United Church (220 Richmond St, Charlottetown, PE C1A1J5).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Norman's memory may be made to Trinity United Church in Charlottetown or to the Shriners Hospital for Children in Montreal.
