He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Compton and Verlie Emma Compton (MacMillan); and his siblings, Clarice Ellis, Donna Testini and William "Bill" Compton.
He is survived by: his wife Mildred "Millie" (MacLeod); his children, Joanne Carmichael (Dennis), Beverley Campbell (Elmer), Jayne Gallant (Steve), Kathleen Compton (Jerry Dorie) and Janet Compton; his grandchildren, Aaron, Mathew, Eric, Donald, Darcy, Cole and Daniel; and his siblings, Velda Ward, Lemuel Compton (Nicky) and Damon Compton (Rose). He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Donations in his memory may be made to Pat and the Elephant, the Beach Grove Home Activity Department, or Park Royal Church.
