She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Deagle and Mary Florence Deagle; her husbands, David Edward Sampson and John Francis Nolan; her siblings, Theresa, Melvin Gerard, Alvin Eugene Deagle and Mary Amelia; and her brothers-in-law, Peter Kowerchuck and Richard Lutz.
She is survived by: her sons, Alan (Sandra), Robert (Deborah) and Glenn Sampson; her grandsons, David, Matthew and Daniel Sampson; and her siblings, Venita Kowerchuk, Anne Lutz and John Deagle (Louise). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
If so desired, donations in memory of Melinda can be made to St. Mary's Restoration Fund or the Eastern Kings Health Foundation (Souris Hospital).
