He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilfred Bernard and Florence Bernard; his sister Joyce Bernard; and his brother-in-law Abner Jarvis. He is survived by: his wife Sheila; his daughter Vanessa; his sisters, Margaret Jarvis and Alice Bernard; and his niece Marlene MacDonald (David).

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Dingwell Funeral Home (3 Washington St, Souris, PE C0A2B0). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Margaret's Roman Catholic Church.
