He was predeceased by: his wife Myrna; his son Joseph; his parents, John Grant and Florence Grant; and his siblings, Doreen, Erwin, Audrey and Eileen.

He is survived by: his children, David (Rena), Jacqueline Roberts (Sydney), Doreen Walsh (Mike) and Deborah Westfall (Roger); his siblings, Paulette Mullally and Arnold (Donna); his grandchildren, Jennifer Grant, Lucas Grant (Kristen), Amanda Roberts (Roger), Tony Roberts (Nancy), Jordan Walsh (Heather), Nicole Perry (Matt), Michaela Walsh (Tyler) and Joshua Westfall (Lauren); and his great grandchildren, Liam Grant, John Lorenza, Sabrina, Abby, Keira, Sophia, Archer, Leif, Cillian, Jackson and Astra.
