He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson Stewart and Helen Stewart; his son Dean; his siblings, Eldon Stewart and Jean Coffin (Preston); and his siblings-in-law, Barb Stewart and Smokey Jones.

He is survived by: his wife Nora; his children, Brent (Tracy) and Shellie Hughes (Jeff); his grandchildren, Hallie, Dean, Kale and Sawyer; his siblings, Glen, Arthur Stewart (Anne) and Kay Jones; and his sister-in-law Joan Stewart. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
