He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Stewart and Cecelia Stewart; and his siblings-in-law, Ethel Todd (Frank), Eugene (Lucy), Colin, Sterling McGaugh and Daniel McInnis.

He is survived by: his wife Fran; his children, Mary Stephey (Lynn), Lisa Weddle (Jim), Cyndi Russell (Steve) and Bobby Weddle (Vanessa); his siblings, Charles (Margie), Rupert (Gloria) and Margaret Stewart; and his sisters-in-law, Bernice McInnis, Aileen Dwan (Earl), Noreen Kennedy (James) and Anne MacDonald (Daniel). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
