He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Gallant and Eileen Gallant; and his brother-in-law Allan Gallant. He is survived by: his child Dawn Gallant (Jason Stoutenburg); his grandchildren, Alyssa and Amber; and his sisters, Bernadette, Marlene, Cathy Gallant and Dianne MacDonald (Gene MacDonald). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the St. Charles cemetery fund.
