He was predeceased by: his wife Hazel Bernard; his parents, John Bernard and Jane Bernard (Buchanan); his daughter Florence; and his sisters, Gladys and Elga.
He is survived by: his children, Donna Gallant (Alyre) of O'Leary, Gary (Linda) of O'Leary, Boyd (Cindy) of O'Leary and David (Lisa) of O'Leary. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
