He was predeceased by: his former wife Elva Toms; his parents, Elmer Toms and Hazel Toms of Oshawa, ON.; and his siblings, Helen Winfield (Bill), Robert Toms (Doris) and Kenneth Toms (Catherine).
He is survived by: his wife Pauline Toms; his children, David Toms (Linda), Cathy Donohue (Brian), Laurie Toms and Richard Toms (Stacy); his stepchildren, Karen Goudie and Jeff Goudie; his grandchildren, Sean, Kadin, Owen, Callum, Stephanie, Jordan, Amber and Michael; and his brother Allan Toms (Inge). He is also survived by many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
