He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacqueline MacDonald (MacPhee) and Lowell MacDonald; his grandparents, Mary (MacLean) and Allan MacPhee; and his aunts and uncles, Albert, Benny MacPhee, George Gus MacDonald, Gerard Johnston, Balbina MacDonald, Mary Anne Johnston, Ruth MacPhee and Sandy MacPhee.

He is survived by: his sister Karen MacDonald; his nieces and nephews, Tyler MacDonald and Ayaan Mahmood; his aunts and uncles, Allana (Joey Johnston), Brendon MacPhee (Rossanne), Larry Johnston and Sylvia MacPhee (Betty Lou MacPhee); and his cousins, Troy, Mark Johnston, Tanya Downe (Rodney), Kelly, Corelene, Ashley, Travis, Shayla, Carson and Tyson.
