He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Docherty and Helen Docherty (Coyle); and his brother Glenn Docherty. He is survived by: his children, Shane Docherty (Susan Baldwin) and Sonia Dixon (Mark); and his siblings, Elaine Stewart (Lowell) and Cyril Docherty (Edith). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
