He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Hughes and Bertha Hughes (Mahar); his siblings, Reg, Herman, Thomas, Leonard, Bridgett, Mary and Sydella; and his granddaughter Faith.
He is survived by: his wife Eunice Hughes (Morrison); his daughters, Darlene Hughes and Cathy MacKenzie (Douglas); and his sister Margaret Hughes (Louis). He is also survived by grandchildren; six adored great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
