He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Johnston and Dorothy Johnston (Herring); his son Lorne Wade Johnston; his nephew Brain MacLeod; and his siblings-in-law, Dale Mossman, Ricky Jackson and JoAnn Loughran Resting.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Johnston (Jackson); his children, Nick Johnston, Rachel Stewart (Mark), Terri-Lynn MacKenzie and Peter MacKenzie; his grandchildren, Kaylan, Chase, Brooklyn, Logan, Duncan and Maddie; his siblings, Kenny Johnston (Helen) and Carla Oliver (Brad); his sisters-in-law, Marjorie Jackson and Donna Jackson; and his pet Sasha. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
