He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Kent and Gertrude Kent (McGregor); his wife Marion Anne Kent (Dunsire); his son Dean Kent; his sister Joyce Peters (Kenneth); and his sons-in-law, David Flay and Harold Hockin.
He is survived by: his children, Ivy Gaudet (David) of Summerside, PE, Rose Kent-Lauzon (Brian) of Ottawa, ON, Laura Gaudet of Summerside, PE, Alan Kent of Barrie, ON, Violet Kent of Peace River, AB, Zinnia Kent-Robertson and Heather Kent-Rodacker (Wade) of Grande Prairie, AB; his sister Shirley Corbett (Michael) of Moncton, NB; and his uncle Peter Foy of Halifax, NS. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter, many nieces and nephews.
