He was predeceased by: his son Jonathan Paynter; his brother Bradford Paynter; his brother-in-law Carmon Stewart; and his parents-in-law, Sheldon and Lois Stewart (Parsons).

He is survived by: his spouse Robina Paynter (Stewart); his daughters, Natalie (Gerald Doyle), Samantha (Ryan Paugh) and Kimberly; his grandchildren, Stephanie Stewart of Marcus Stewart, P. J, Paugh, Colby Paugh, Ariana Companion, Jonny Paynter and Robert Bryenton; and his siblings, Carol Doyle (Edmund Jr.), Leslie Paynter, Beth Paynter, Charlotte Thompson (Dean) and Sharon MacEwen (Garth).

Due to Covid 19 restrictions no public visitation or funeral services.

If so desired contributions may be made to the Paynter Family Expense Fund, Geddie Memorial Cemetery or St. Thomas Anglican Church.
