Mary E. Hickey Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary E. Hickey (Kensington, Prince Edward Island), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 24, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert S. and Louise (Ramsay); her husband Elmer of Cabot's Reach Restaurant; her son Edward Hickey; and her siblings, Arthur, Fulton, John, Robert Keir, Norman Cousins, Edith and Woodside.
She is survived by: her children, Shirley Thompson (Wayne), Janet O'Brien (Charles), Arnold Hickey (Elaine), Glenda Burt (Rick) and Jennifer Mozel (Miles); her siblings, William (Dorothy) and Florence "Fluff" MacPhail (Burrows); her sister-in-law Mary (Fulton); and her cousin Shirley (Arthur). She is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Steven O'Brien Legacy Award for Aspiring Chefs, which honours Mary's grandson. Donations may also be made to the Princetown United Church.
