He was predeceased by: his parents, John Burgoyne and Annie Burgoyne (Somers); his wife Ruth Burgoyne (Ball); his son George; and his siblings, Horace Burgoyne (Ruby), Mildred Heater (Elmer) and Wilna (Gordon Toombs).
He is survived by: his children, William (Patricia), Brookfield, Marion Hutchison (Lawrence), Alberta, Russell (Bonnie), Gloria (Doug), Roland (Bev), Nancy Hamel (Randel), Lawrence and Baltic; his grandchildren, Keith (Pam), Keir, Blaine (Alyssa) and Elyn (Patrick); his great grandchildren, Jasper, Elliott, Paige, Slade, Cayley and Remi; and his siblings, Layton Burgoyne (Jean), Elaine Burgoyne (late Raymond), Jaret Burgoyne (Joslin), Irma Nisbet (Danny), Lloyd Burgoyne, Lorne Burgoyne (Audrey) and Wendell Burgoyne (Deborah). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
