She was predeceased by: her husband Herbert Simmons; her granddaughter Sheila Curtis; her great grandchildren, Robert and Matthew Curtis; her brother Keith Thompson (Gladys); and her siblings-in-law, Charles Beairsto and Shirley Thompson.
She is survived by: her children, Brecken (Joyce), Carmen Simmons (Genylyn), Marlene (Wayne) and Dooley; her grandchildren, Chris Simmons (Catherine), Bonnie MacPhail (Trevor), Rachel Hahn (Meade) and Sarah Doucette (Michael); her great grandchildren, Karen Espino (Ricardo), Dylan Boyce (Ashley Ott), Kyle MacPhail, Emily MacPhail and Cameron MacDonald (Katie); her great great grandchild Jayden Boyce; and her siblings, Carrie Beairsto and Willard Thompson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
