With solemn reverence, we commemorate Ella J. Simmons (Kensington, Prince Edward Island), whose life came to an end on January 23, 2025 at the age of 101, leaving behind cherished memories. She was predeceased by: her husband Herbert Simmons; her granddaughter Sheila Curtis; her great grandchildren, Robert and Matthew Curtis; her brother Keith Thompson (Gladys); and her siblings-in-law, Charles Beairsto and Shirley Thompson.
She is survived by: her children, Brecken (Joyce), Carmen Simmons (Genylyn), Marlene (Wayne) and Dooley; her grandchildren, Chris Simmons (Catherine), Bonnie MacPhail (Trevor), Rachel Hahn (Meade) and Sarah Doucette (Michael); her great grandchildren, Karen Espino (Ricardo), Dylan Boyce (Ashley Ott), Kyle MacPhail, Emily MacPhail and Cameron MacDonald (Katie); her great great grandchild Jayden Boyce; and her siblings, Carrie Beairsto and Willard Thompson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Davison Funeral Home. A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Summerside Presbyterian Church (130 Victoria Rd, Summerside, PE C1N2G5).
