He was predeceased by: his parents, William Thompson and Barbara Thompson (Woodside); his stepmother Edith Thompson; his parents-in-law, Keith and Jessie Ramsay; and his sisters-in-law, Roberta Ramsay and Beth Ramsay.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Thompson (Ramsay); his children, Lesley Thompson (Kimball), Dr. Andrew Thompson and Edward Thompson; his grandchildren, Hillary MacLeod (Cody MacDonald), Kaeleigh MacLeod (Travis Arbeau), Megan Thompson, Noah Thompson (Sarah MacWilliams), Emma Thompson and Kayden Thompson; his stepgrandchildren, Courtney Gregg (Bill) and Bryanna Thompson; and his siblings-in-law, Elaine Chessman (Paul), Carl Ramsay, Al Ramsay (Mary Curran), Ken Ramsay (Rita Langen), Don Ramsay (Wilma), Chris Ramsay (Gaelyne) and Deborah Anthony.
Due to Covid 19 restrictions, no public visitation will be held.
