He was predeceased by: his parents, Irving Parsons and Mildred Parsons (Hill); his close friend Roma Parsons (Murray); and his siblings, Russell Parsons (Lois), Herman Parsons (Euphemia), Alvin Parsons and Clara Smith (Wallace).

He is survived by: his son Robert Parsons (Jenny); his granddaughter Mary Jean Noye (Jay); his great grandchildren, Zachary and Jessica Noye; his niece Donna McLaine; and his friend Charles Clow. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

If so desired a memorial contribution may be made to the Fredericton Cemetery.

“Hi to the Parson family. Sorry to hear of Sterling's passing. We were neighbors across the hall at the place he lived. He loved sitting in the common room and look out the window. We joked a many a time in our daily visits. We moved back to ONtario in 2011 and he was sad to see us go. He was a dear soul and talked often about his farming experience. George also went to his heavenly abode on JUly 9th of this year. They now will be chatting up a storm. Condolences to you and the family.”
