He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Currie and Louise Currie; his son Mark; and his siblings, Dorothy, Verna, Ada, Francis, Brenda and Beverly.
He is survived by: his wife Joan (McQuillan); his children, Larry, Susan (Stevenson) of Saar, Bahrain, Michael, Christine (Shepherd) of Cardigan, Donald, Claire (MacIntyre) of Stratford, Scott and Anne (Coady) of Abu Dhabi; his grandchildren, Barbie Dawn (Carl Burke), Mark (Michelle Currie), Brad (Kathy Currie), Brooke and Colby (Conor Currie); and his great grandchildren, Harry, Ella Burke, Aaliyah, Callen Currie, Alexa and Garrett Currie.
Due to COVID-19 and international travel restrictions, a burial service will take place at a later date.
