He was predeceased by: his spouse Betty Francis; his parents, Hillard Francis and Amy Francis; and his brother Ernest Francis. He is survived by: his children, Heather Francis, Adele Wood, Aletha Fall (Gordon), James Francis (Cheryl) and Cory Francis (Beverly); his grandchildren, Chris, Jeff, Jennifer Wood, Darren Wood, Brian Wood, Jason Fall, Traci MacVittie, Brandy, Brody and Brittany Francis; and his siblings-in-law, Mildred Francis, Edith Clyke (George) and George Curtis.
