She was predeceased by: her husband Eldon Leard; her parents, Daniel W. MacDonald and Rachel MacDonald; her sons-in-law, Reginald Rose and Kevin J. Gaudet; her siblings, Catherine Peyton (Thomas), Hugh MacDonald (Joan), John MacDonald (Frances), Margaret Newson, Alex MacDonald (Letitia), Florence MacDonald and Henry MacDonald (Rita); and her brother-in-law Stafford Leard.
She is survived by: her children, Sharon Rose, Donald Leard (Maureen) and Margaret Gaudet; and her grandchildren, Robert Rose (Robin Way), Rachel Cassell (Glen), Krista Halbert (Wayne), Mark Leard, Kayla Smith (Ben), Adam Gaudet (Tracy) and Michael Gaudet (Amanda Keefe). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to Westmoreland Cemetery or North Tryon Presbyterian Church.
