She was predeceased by: her parents, Moody Harlow and Joyce Harlow Wight (March); her husband Ray Simmons; her siblings-in-law, James Gillighan, Lawson Aulenbach, Derek Evans and Emma Harlow; her stepfather Donald Wight; and her stepbrothers, Charles and Andrew Wight.
She is survived by: her siblings, Les Harlow of Halifax, N. S., Stephen Harlow (Robyne) of Lawrencetown, N. S., Ethel Beers (John) of New Minas, N. S., Cora Aulenbach of Bridgewater, N. S., Audrey Evans, Fort of Saskatchewan, Alberta and Grace Gillighan of Port Lorne, N. S.; her stepdaughter Karen Taweel; her daughters, Allison, Keira and Shirley; and her friends, Jorgen, Marie Nissen, Ruth Dockendorff and Dana Ingersoll. She is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
